When a cleanup is the right call
Supreme Mowing does one-off garden and section cleanups across the Hutt Valley. It's the job for when maintenance has lapsed and the garden needs a reset rather than a tidy:
- Selling the house — a tidy section photographs better and sells faster
- Between tenants — getting a rental's grounds back to the standard in the tenancy agreement
- New to the property — you've bought a place with an inherited jungle
- After a long absence, illness or a busy year — it's simply got away

What we do on a cleanup
Every section is different, so the scope is agreed at the quote. A cleanup typically means cutting long grass down in stages, clearing weeds and self-seeded growth from beds and paths, cutting back overgrown shrubs and hedges, clearing branches away from the house, gutters and fences, and removing rubbish and green waste. We finish by mowing and edging so it reads as a lawn again, not a paddock.
Light tree work — shaping, lifting and clearing smaller trees — is part of it. Large trees or anything near power lines is arborist work, and we'll say so rather than guess.
All the green waste goes with us. You're not left with a pile on the driveway.
Hutt Valley sections that get away
Some parts of the valley are more prone to it than others. Steep back sections in Stokes Valley, Wainuiomata and the western hills turn into bush surprisingly quickly once the gorse, blackberry and tradescantia get going. Coastal gardens in Petone and Eastbourne collect wind-blown debris and salt-burnt growth. Big Upper Hutt sections on the edge of town can lose a whole lower lawn to long grass over one wet spring. We've seen all of it and we know how long each one takes, which is why we can give you a firm price up front.
Pricing and what happens next
Cleanups are quoted as a fixed price for the agreed scope, based on a site visit. Small tidy-ups take half a day; a badly overgrown section might take a crew a day or more. We'll tell you honestly which it is. Once it's done, most people keep it that way with regular mowing or garden maintenance, which costs far less than the next cleanup.
